First Caribbean Bike Park
We’re the only bike park located in the heart of the Caribbean, specifically in the southern coast of beautiful Puerto Rico.
Strategically built and located within the Albergue OlÃmpico recreational premises, which provide full access to the parks facilities such as, safe parking lot, restrooms, showers, restaurants, dormitories and 24 hour security.
SGP Crew Mision
The Salinas Gravity Park Crew mission is to improve the trail experience for every MTB rider in Puerto Rico, through trail building and maintenance.
Why did we make it in the Albergue OlÃmpico?
The Albergue OlÃmpico is one of the most complete sports training facilities in America, which has over 45 establishments for the development of 22 different sport disciplines such as, baseball, swimming, tennis, gymnastics, soccer, track and field, archery, target shooting, skating and many more.
Being located in the southern coast of Puerto Rico, it provides for a an ideal climate, due to the fact that 95% of the year the area is dry, which allows the park to be in perfect conditions for its use. The park can be reached with in 50 minutes from the Luis Muñoz Marin Airport (San Juan, north) and 30 mins from Merceditas Airport (Ponce, South).
SGP was developed over a DH route, which has been crafted and cared by the riders for over more than 15 years. The mountain has an adecuate elevation, with a fluid and extense incline, which provide the most perfect conditions for DH route development at novice, intermediate, advance and expert levels.
CURRENT PROJECTS
BLUE LINE - Renovation
A Blue Route was created, which was divided in 2 phases in simultaneous fashion. This line was designed from topographic studies that were done, to take full advantage of the terrain and the inclines it provides, in a manner to obtain a line with line challenging rides with steep slopes, obstacles and fast sections. Basic off road riding skills required. The purpose of this trail if to provide the novice rider their first full bike park experience, in which they will be able to develop skills that can be then utilized in the more advanced courses.
PRO-LINE
An Advance-Expert level JUMP TRAIL was created also called the PROLine, only for the most experimented riders, who have the necessary skills to ride it. Mandatory features such as large gap jumps, step downs and drops with no ride a rounds. Highly difficult riding with challenging natural and man made features. Includingdrops, jumps and technical natural terrain.
Shuttle Ride
Taking riders to the top of the mountains.
APPMTB Shuttle
This Shuttle is used mainly on the Salinas Gravity Park, It can take up to 12 riders at a time with a cost of $15 per rider. You could also form part of the crew and pay a year membership for better deals.

WHO WE ARE
Great teams build great trails, and great trails build great teams
Due to the needs to have a proper space to practice; a group of experimented and pro riders which have trailed some of the best bike parks around the world, went to the task in making a proposal and work plan to present to the Board of Directors of the Albergue Olimpico. Knowing the potential of growth this plan had, the board did not hesitate to approve and support this Project.
How this project is economically supported?
This project is funded in its entirety by the riders. A non-profit association has been created, with the end goal to provide each rider with a monthly contribution. Each project is created by a committee, presented and then taken to vote directly to the association. In this manner a budget is raised for the essential park labor and maintenance.
